We've known Tyler for quite a number of years. We've watched him evolve into a talented dancer -- the kid is budding tap artist -- and, here, we had the pleasure of helping him debut as a model.
We shot these images as part of a daylong session with dancers from DanceWorks in Vancouver, WA. After working through some basic ballet poses, we asked Tyler to perform some movements from a contemporary ballet piece he had done this past spring. We knew they'd look cool ... but we didn't know they'd look this cool.
For those who care who like to know the technical side of the story, we shot this using a pair of Bowens Gemini 400 monolights with 14" medium softboxes. We processed the image in Lightroom using one of our custom filters called "HDR Rethunk." Camera: Canon 5D MKIII at 100 ISO at 1/160 and f8.
