TWEEN MODELING PORTFOLIO, JULIA STYLE

We've known Julia for a few years. We met her through DanceWorks, a local studio where we take a lot of pictures. We've spent a few minutes with her shooting headshots for the studio's recital programs and done a few portraits of her in various costumes.

She's a pretty laid back kid so we didn't know what to expect from our first modeling portfolio session. What we got was a kid with a serious game face and a beautiful smile (braces and all), a kid who works great in front of the camera and looks fabulous in everything from jeans to dance gear. And we're pretty sure our shots of her in the beautiful yellow sundress are the definition of porcelain skin.

TEEN MODELING PORTFOLIO, ROCK AND ROLL ATTITUDE

Miss Ayla is a singer, dancer and actor who knows how to rock the photo set. She wanted to do a teen modeling portfolio that covered all the bases, from casual school clothes to a rock and roll leather jacket. We did these three looks for modeling portfolio in our studio using wardrobe she styled herself. Hair and makeup styling by the super-talented Aubree Richins.

It's a beautiful, snowy day here in Portland, unusual for this part of the country and worthy of our embrace. It's December. It's cold. There's 2" of snow on the ground, enough to bring Portland to its knees (or at least turn 10-mile commutes into Long Island-like gridlocks). We have the perfect solution: a flash back to one of our favorite fashion shoots of the year, a gorgeous group of images captured at the beach with one of our favorite models.

These images were taken a few days ago during our third session with Miss Alex. I can't say I've ever seen eyes quite so deep and penetrating as hers. She's an ambitious kid with the desire to do it all; we had great fun working with her on these beautiful photos.

KACI THE ATHLETE

I met Kaci this past spring while doing a fashion shoot with one of her friends. She hired us over the summer to shoot her beautiful senior photos (at the beach!) and again this fall to do some modeling portfolio pictures. Our last session was focused on sports and swim and the results are awesome.

HAILEY IS A ROCKSTAR

I love working with this kid. Every time I photograph her, she shows me a different side of her personality. In this shoot, she took the deep red setting and furry black rock and roll jacket and gave me a full dose of mystery (and a little bit of mischief).

DOMINIC

The word "rockstar" gets thrown around a lot these days. You go to a coffee shop, the guy gets your order right, he's a rockstar. (Yes, correctly mixing an Iced White Chocolate Mocha is very much on par with creating Ziggy Stardust or The White Album.)

But, in this case, the word "rockstar" really does apply to this guy. He sings, he dances, he acts and he models. Plus, he can play pretty much any instrument he chooses. Just ask Andrew Lloyd Webber. 

For this particular part of our latest shoot with Dominic, we said: "Do something cool." He did. Rockstar status confirmed.
