We've known Cherish for awhile. She's a lovely and graceful dancer and a dedicated and truthful actor, whose work onstage is always a pleasure to watch.
It's been just this past year that we've had the privilege of working with her as a model -- three times now -- and the results have been just awesome.
The first image here is from a Session called Fun & Fashion we did this past February. We styled a bunch of kids in clothing from a designer in Spain called Desigual (provided to us by the nice people at FlairWalk Boutique in Portland). Mediterranean-styled clothing notwithstanding, we've nicknamed this beautiful shot "The Egyptian Princess."
The second photo just knocks us out for one reason: the eyes, the way they glisten in the light. It's from a series of dance photos we did of Cherish just a few weeks ago, of which there are so many beautiful shots we can't decide which ones to post next.
The last picture in this sequence is from a few days ago, when we worked outdoors on her modeling portfolio. It's all about being a kid, hanging out and checking in with the camera. We love the contrast between the dark blue and the bright yellow, a perfect combination for her beautiful complexion.
For you tech heads: the first two were shot in studio with various lighting schemes, somewhere around ISO 100 at 1/160 and f8. The last shot was done at ISO 400 at 1/400 at f4. Camera and lens for all were a 5D MKIII with a 70-200mm f2.8.
